WFEO
WFEO is a universal good indispensable for life that affects many sectors, giving this resource a social, environmental, and economic dimension. It is a good that knows no borders. Water also conveys many of the impacts of climate change to society.
Water is at the core of sustainable development and is critical for socio-economic development, energy and food production, healthy ecosystems and for human survival itself. Water is also at the heart of adaptation to climate change, serving as the crucial link between society and the environment.
Each organization concerned can appoint a representative as a member of the CW, preferably a water expert.
For each specific initiative, the Coordinating Committee may appoint professionals of recognized prestige to be added to the corresponding works and professionals proposed by the FAEO member organizations. The CW will hold one face-to-face meeting each year, normally at the same time as the FAEO annual meeting – Executive Council or General Assembly.
CW Coordination Committee will meet virtually. Each SPG will have its own virtual meetings. Chair, Vice-Chair and Executive Secretary will be invited to attend them.
